1. About this Policy and Taygraf

This Privacy Policy explains how Taygram Inc. ("Taygram", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, communicates, protects and retains personal information when people use the Taygraf mobile application and related services ("Taygraf" or the "Service"). It should be read with the Taygraf Terms of Service and any applicable Community Guidelines.

Taygram Inc. is located at 41 rue de Talcy, Blainville, Quebec J7B 0A2, Canada. For questions about privacy or to exercise your rights, contact the Privacy Officer through support@taygraf.com. Our privacy contact may be changed to a dedicated address in a later update.

We aim to collect only the information reasonably necessary for the purposes described below. Where the law requires specific consent, we will request it separately rather than treating access to Taygraf as consent to every possible use.

2. Personal Information We Collect

Account and age-verification information

When you register or maintain an account, we process information such as your username, display name, date of birth, email address and/or phone number, depending on the sign-in method. Your date of birth is used to apply Taygraf’s minimum age of 16. Account authentication also involves identifiers and security information needed to manage access.

Profile, posts and communications

We process the profile details you choose to provide, including a profile photo or bio; videos, images, sound, captions, comments, links and other content you upload; and messages you send or receive through Taygraf’s direct messaging features. Content can reveal personal information about you and other people depicted or mentioned in it.

Social activity and safety information

We process actions needed for Taygraf’s features, such as follows, likes, comments, searches, content interactions and reports or blocks you submit. We may also process relevant report details, moderation decisions, account restrictions and records needed to investigate abuse or protect users.

Technical and notification information

The app and its infrastructure may process technical information reasonably needed to provide and secure Taygraf, such as IP addresses, app or device type, operating system, session or authentication identifiers, request timestamps, service logs and push-notification tokens. These details may also appear in service-provider operational records. We do not currently use a dedicated advertising SDK or a dedicated third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK.

Camera, microphone and device permissions

If you use recording or upload features, Taygraf may request access to the camera, microphone, photos or files as needed for that feature. Media selected for upload becomes User Content. You can manage device permissions through iOS or Android settings; denying permission may prevent certain features from working.

Support and privacy requests

If you contact us, we process the contact details and information in your message, along with records reasonably needed to investigate, respond and document a request.

3. Sources of Information

Information comes mainly from you, your activity within Taygraf, the devices and services used to access Taygraf, and the providers involved in your chosen login method. When you use Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive the identifying account information that provider makes available and that is needed to complete authentication, which may include an email address or provider account identifier.

When you use phone verification, Twilio supports delivery of verification messages and associated verification processing. Other users can also provide information about you through messages, interactions or reports.

4. Why We Use Information

We do not currently operate a sophisticated behaviour-based For You recommendation algorithm. A feed may nevertheless use ordinary service functions, such as selected sections, posts and followed accounts, to display content. The Terms also permit certain uses of public User Content to promote Taygraf where allowed by law, subject to any additional authorization required. If we later introduce new profiling, targeting, advertising or materially different uses of personal information, we will update our disclosures and seek any consent or offer controls required by law.

5. What Other People Can See

Your public profile and public posts, including comments and other public interactions, can be viewed by other Taygraf users and may be copied or shared by people outside Taygraf. Consider carefully what you publish, particularly images, location clues and personal information about others.

Direct messages are intended for their participants rather than general public display. Recipients can nevertheless read, retain or independently copy messages you send them. Taygram may access or disclose limited message or content information when necessary and legally permitted to investigate a report, protect the Service or comply with a valid legal obligation.

Blocking another user restricts interactions according to Taygraf’s implemented blocking features; it cannot retrieve or erase independent copies someone already made.

6. Service Providers and Other Disclosures

Taygram uses third-party providers to operate Taygraf. Depending on the feature you use, relevant categories of information may be processed by:

Service providers receive the information necessary for the particular service, subject to appropriate legal arrangements and their applicable privacy practices. We may also communicate information to other users as described above; to authorities where legally required or permitted; to advisers or service providers needed for a legitimate legal, security or corporate transaction; or otherwise with your valid consent.

Taygraf currently has no advertising SDK and no active payment or subscription SDK. VIP Spaces and any future payments are not currently launched. Before introducing payment processing or other materially different services, we will update this Policy as appropriate.

7. Where Information Is Stored and Processed

Taygraf’s primary Supabase project, including its core database, authentication infrastructure and primary media storage, is hosted in Canada Central. Taygraf’s identified AWS video-transcoding service also uses Canadian infrastructure.

This does not mean every operation takes place only in Canada. Providers involved in authentication, messaging, push delivery, support, operational logging or content delivery may process or access limited information outside Quebec or Canada. Supabase also indicates that certain operational records and cached content may be processed outside the chosen primary project region.

When personal information is communicated outside Quebec, Taygram must assess and implement protections required by applicable Quebec privacy law, including a privacy impact assessment and appropriate arrangements where required. We will not represent that all user information remains exclusively in Canada.

8. Notifications, Device Choices and Communications

You can control push-notification permissions through your device settings. Withdrawing notification permission may stop optional push notifications but will not necessarily prevent us from providing essential account or security communications through other available channels.

Where promotional email or another optional communication is introduced, Taygram will request any consent required by law and provide an appropriate way to withdraw it. Transactional and security messages may still be necessary to operate an account.

You can also change relevant app settings and control access to your camera, microphone, photos and other device permissions through iOS or Android.

9. Tracking, Profiling and Advertising

We do not currently use a dedicated analytics or crash-reporting SDK such as Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Crashlytics or Sentry, and we do not currently use an advertising SDK. Infrastructure providers may still generate technical, security or delivery logs required to operate the Service.

We have not launched a sophisticated behaviour-based content-profiling algorithm. If Taygraf later uses technology with identification, location or profiling functions that trigger additional disclosure or activation requirements under Quebec law, we will inform users in advance and provide the required choices.

We do not currently sell personal information to advertising networks. This Policy will be revised before material new advertising or paid-feature data uses are introduced.

10. Age Requirement and Younger Users

Taygraf is intended only for people aged 16 or older. We request a date of birth to support the minimum-age rule. Taygraf is not designed or marketed as an app for children younger than 16.

If we learn that an account was created by someone under 16, we may disable the account and take appropriate steps to delete associated personal information, subject to legal requirements. If you believe an under-16 person has an account, contact support@taygraf.com.

Users aged 16 or 17 are still minors under some applicable laws. We may impose age-appropriate restrictions on features, and future paid or creator monetization features may have a higher minimum age.

11. How Long We Keep Information

We retain personal information only for the period needed for the identified purposes, including operating an active account, handling communications or reports, securing the Service and meeting applicable obligations. Different categories of information may have different retention periods.

When a user requests deletion, the process in Section 12 applies. Limited records may be kept beyond the ordinary deletion period where a documented legal requirement or another legally justified safety, fraud-prevention, security or dispute-related purpose makes retention necessary. The prior existence of an account, by itself, does not justify retaining its complete records indefinitely.

Some residual database copies may remain temporarily in backups managed by infrastructure providers after deletion from active systems. Those copies follow the provider-managed backup-retention cycle and are not a means to reactivate deleted accounts. Taygram does not independently manage those backup cycles. Any applicable legal preservation requirement remains subject to law.

12. Account Deletion

You may request permanent account deletion through Taygraf’s in-app account settings. If you cannot access the app, you may contact support@taygraf.com for assistance with a deletion request.

After the user confirms deletion, access to the account will end and the profile and content controlled by that account will be removed from public view. The request is irreversible: the deleted account cannot be reactivated.

Taygram will complete deletion from its active production systems as soon as practicable and no later than 10 days after confirmation of the request. This includes the Supabase Auth record, associated personal information and database records, and the user’s uploaded media in Supabase Storage, subject to specific, legally justified retention exceptions.

Data already independently copied by other people cannot necessarily be recalled. A limited record, relevant evidence or backup copy may persist beyond the ordinary active-system deletion period only when legally justified or subject to a documented backup-retention cycle. Where feasible and required, Taygram will also address deletion with service providers.

13. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal information Taygram holds about you, correction of inaccurate information, deletion where appropriate, and withdrawal of consent where processing depends on that consent. You may also have rights concerning portability, de-indexation or automated decisions in circumstances specified by law.

Send requests to the Privacy Officer at support@taygraf.com and explain the nature of your request. We may reasonably verify your identity before releasing, correcting or deleting information. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, generally 30 days for a Quebec access or correction request unless a lawful extension applies.

You may also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or another competent privacy regulator. Contacting Taygram first is welcome but is not a condition for exercising statutory rights.

14. Security and Incidents

Taygram seeks to apply safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access restrictions, authentication controls, secure communications and service-provider protections. No electronic system is completely risk-free.

We may review relevant technical logs, account activity, reports or content when reasonably necessary and permitted to investigate unauthorized access, serious safety complaints or suspected unlawful conduct. If a confidentiality incident occurs, we will assess it and provide notifications to affected people and regulators where required by law.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy when Taygraf changes its features, providers, information practices or legal obligations. We will update the effective date and provide notice of material changes using appropriate means, as required by law.

A materially new use of personal information will not be justified merely by posting revised words: we will request any separate consent or provide any additional notice required by law.
